Vampire Hunter D-Bloodlust

A follow up to the classic
Vampire Hunter D this story takes place as the third book of the series.
It was one of the most wonderful anime experiences I had, being lucky enough
to view it in a theater helped to add to the enjoyment. The animation is
nothing short of supurb, the music chilling, the action plentiful and the
story riveting. My only grip would be I want more! Its truely a great successor
for the old VPD and definately warrants more movies in my opinion. It follows
D on a mission to rescue a rich townsmans daughter who has been kidnapped
by a viciously known Vampire. However as D finds the girl he realizes she
is far from kidnapped but actually going along willing. The majority of
the story revolves around the chase as D as well as another bounty hunting
group the "The Marcus Brothers" with a team of wild abilities. Action clashes
throughout in amazingly animated scenes as the music builds the story.
This is a must see movie for anime fans of all genres.

rule the night, but their numbers are dwindling. With huge bounties on
their heads, a class of hunters has emerged: Bounty Hunters. One hunter
is unlike all the others. He is a Dunpeal – a half human, half vampire.
At war with himself, feared by all, tortured and alone, he is: Vampire
Hunter D.”
It’s not a regular occurrence when a Japanese anime is created in the English language. But when it happens, subtitle fans shouldn’t pass it off as being another “bad dub.” Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust has great voice acting, as well as top-of-the-line animation, and a spectacular musical score. In “Bloodlust”, the vampire hunter known as “D” is hired to find a woman named Charlotte Elbourne, who has been kidnapped by the vampire Meier Link. But D has competition: The Markus Brothers. They are a skilled group of vampire hunters who have also been hired to bring Charlotte back to her family. As the story unfolds, it seems that perhaps “kidnapping” is the wrong word to use in this situation… This anime movie has it all: action, suspense, violence, and surprisingly, comedic appeal. There’s really nothing to dislike about it. But if I were to be picky, I guess that even though it was originally dubbed in English, there were some points to where I could tell the voice actors had to speed up some of their speech to match the lip movements on the screen. It would have been nice to have them speak at a generally normal speed, but as I said it’s just nit picking. It really doesn’t distract you too much from the movie. Basically, “Bloodlust” is a work of art, and any anime fan should find it a very enjoyable viewing experience.
