Based on a very popular
manga the Video Release of Video Girl Ai is the story of a boy named Yota
whose heart is sometimes to big for his own good. As the story start Yota
is going to confess his feelings to the girl he loves (Moemi) only for
her to confess that she loves (Takashi-Yota's best friend!) which of course
shocks Yota, but being the person he is he hides his feelings and actually
encourages her to follow her feelings. Later in the story he even accepts
her request to help her getting hooked up with Takashi. So we have out
heartbroken hero roaming the streets when he suddenly finds himself in
front of a mysterious video store. He rents a video called Video Girl Ai
and takes it home to watch it. As it turns out the girl from the Video
"Ai" is supposed to help Yota feel better about himself, only she can see
he needs more than a video so she jumps out of the screen and ends up in
Yota's bedroom! This is where this romantic/comedy begins as we see the
events of Yota's life as he tries to win Moemi's love with Ai's help. Only
to add to his problems due to his VCR's less than great quality Ai is slightly
damaged, where at first she is only supposed to serve Yota she now has
the abililty to show emotions, mainly Love and guess who the lucky fellow
is......
