OK essentially I LOVE THIS SERIES! It incorporates 3D battle sequences with anime and while most people may not like this I think its done very nicely! Yes it is easy to see the 3D but this is a show where well...you just dont care its action packed with lots of comedy! TWO THUMBS UP and while it may not be very solid I'm still giving it a perfect score because it was a breathe of fresh air for me! We have at the beginning what appears to be a planet with NOTHING but males, who believe women are "liver eating beasts" lol but when a few of the men actually see the women for the first time they find out its quite different than what they were told. Due to strange circumstances 3 men are stuck with a ship full of female spacepirates that has bee changed to a new ship do to an accident during an attack. Where the males weapons "Vanguards" and the Females "Dreads" can form into a formidable fighting machine called "Vandread" But no more spoilers Go download it now!!

Plot: A war has broken out between the sexes, the men have fled to planet
Taraaku and their mortal enemies being women who have tortured them and eat
their lives. Hibiki is a third class citizen on Taraaku and he makes parts
for the mens new military robot called Bangata. After being dared to steal
one by fellow workers he takes them up on this offer. As the ship leaves
they're attacked by female pirates and the men are losing, with a twist of
events the women and there 3 men hostages including Hibiki are blasted into
another galaxy...

Review: I absolutely love this show! Packed full of fan service as most of
the girls are in very revealing outfits or tight clother =Þ, there is simply
NEVER a dull moment in the show. There's comedy that breaks up the slow down
between fight scenes to keep it interesting and the men and womens ignorance
toward each other is hilarious. Enough with the review onto the other
sections.

Music: I've never liked the opening and endings in anime as much as I like
Vandreads. The Opening, Trust being a fast paced song and the Ending, Secret
being more slow. The music sets the mood especially during the fight scenes
and the track played at the end of episode 11 and start of 12. Damn I wish I
can find the mp3's of this anime!!!!

Animation: All the battle scenes are done in 3d which also blends very well
with the 3d animation. While the fights aren't normally as good as the ones
in Gundam Wing they're still very good. The series is presented in wide
screen and the animation is that of a OAV. The character designs are
wonderfull as none are redundant like all the ships crew have the same
outfit, just look at Jura!!!!

Overall: This show is simply awesome. My second favorite anime, lots of
replay value as theres probably some stuff you might not pick up at the
start and simply because it's so damn cool. This is a must see show, theres
lots of fan service (no nudity) to boot.

Rating: 10/10 (I don't normally give perfect scores but you seriously have
to see this show)

animation

- : Dita saying Alien-san many times, people referring to themselves in
third person (weird no?) there's not really any bad points to this series!
