Saber Marionette J
is an awesome series it has spawned many other series also. The SMJ OVA
known as plasmatic crisis. Saber Marionette R and Saber Marionette J to
X. The story is about a young boy named Otaru Mamiya from the all Male
society of Japoness on the planet Earth 2. A long time ago a group of six
males where the only people to survive an accident aboard the colony ship
Mesopotamia. There are six nation on Terra 2 each governed by the direct
clone of the 6 survivors. There are only males on the planet since that
is all that they could clone. Females were replaced by emotionless robots
called Marionette’s. Otaru accidentally stumbled onto a secret room in
an old abandoned museum. The he finds a Marionette named Lime(Megumi Hayashibara.
Other anime’s Slayers, Lost Universe and Evangelion). Lime is unlike any
Marionette Otaru has ever seen before. She has feelings she can think
for herself. She is like a real human girl. But why was she created who
is she. During the story Otaru is joined by 2 other Marionette’s like Lime.
Bloodberry and Cherry. The 3 of them end up living together and they go
through non stop types of funny situations. The series is definitely a
comedy but it has some really serious portions and is not to be taken lightly.
Eventually Otaru must battle Faust and his 3 marionette’s with emotions.
They are a lot of hidden Elements in SMJ’s plot. The writers were very
careful not to hint at any of it and it pretty much all comes as a surprise.
There are also a ton of awesome battles with cool weapons and Saber Dolls(Marionette’s
made for battle) The story is really awesome and the series is for everyone
unless you absolutely hate comedy cause there is plenty of comedy and action.
I think everyone should read it. The soundtrack is pumped up by some great
vocal song done by Megumi Hayashibara. She does the opening songs to every
anime she is in. And the Opening Successful mission is on of my favorite
song of all time. If you can find the SMJ ost 1 it is a must buy. This
is one of my fav series of all time.
