A Series brought to the
US by Carl Macek who blended three anime series into the one known as Robotech.
The first part follows the crew of the SDF-1 including Rick Hunter, Lisa
Hayes, Max Sterling, Lynn Minmay, and many others as they try to protect
the Earth from an invasion from alien beings fifty feet tall, known as
the Zentraedi, who have the power to destroy entire planets. The second
series "The Sentinels" follows Max and Miria Sterlings daughter Dana who
is with the Earth Defense Force who protects the Earth from future alien
invasions while the SDF-3 is searching space on a mission to insure peace
for there homeworld for all eternity, however they are faced with the threat
of the Robotech Masters who are just as powerful if not more then the Zentraedi,
thus the Earth is thrown into another intergallactic war. The third and
final part of Robotech follows Scott Bernard and a small band of freedom
fighters who have returned to Earth to free it from the control of the
Invid, who took control of Earth after the second robotech war with the
Robotech Masters. This is one of the first anime series I ever saw and
it is still one of my favorites! Be sure to check it out!
