Ok In my mind this is the greatest anime series of all time. this series is responsible for hooking me on Anime. The story is about a young boy named Shinji Ikari he is to travel to Tokyo-3 to meet his father. Once he gets  there he is told he has to pilot a giant robot called and Evangelion against  an Enemy force called Angels. I simply love this series. The Tv Ending was  awful but the movie made up for it. All of the characters have a very  intertwined and detailed back story. There are also the Gorgeous assets of  Mistato to distract you during the movie. Each character is fully developed and none of them are what they seem to bee. They all have there own issues. The cast of characters is also very rich in personalities. I cold talk forever about this series btu ia m tired of writing about it actually. I made an entire web page about it so for complete story information go check it out. There is a link to it on this page. The music of the series is also incredible ranging form the amazing classical scores to the Theme Song Cruel Angel’s Thesis by Yoko Takahashi. It’s very catchy I know the entire song but I don't know what it means. The series is also gorgeously animated. Gainax has once again astounded everybody. This series is a must see. the plot is incredibly well written. it has many plots and subplots I have seen every episode at least 5 items and I still don't understand it. I love it everyone must see it is my opinion

Well, folks, Gundam just got blown out of the water. Sorry, but the heavyweight is here--NGE features cooler robots, a better soundtrack, more dynamic characters, and of course, the most amazing action sequences in any anime I've ever seen. Along with Escaflowne, it was the most groundbreaking mecha of the decade.
Evangelion takes place in 2015 after half of the world's population is wiped out by the second impact--a massive explosion on the south pole that flooded most of the world's coastal cities. The series centers around a troubled hero, the young boy Shinji Ikari. He is drafted by his estranged father to pilot an Eva--a biomechanical fighting robot designed to fight the invading Angels, who were the cause of the second impact. The mysterious Angels focus their assualt on the fortress city of Tokyo-3, where the Eva and the secret NERV organization struggle to defeat them.
NGE has everything going for it. A chilling sci-fi plot with horrific realism, devestating enemies, totally awesome and sometimes downright scary giant robots, an apocalyptic climax... but most interestingly, realistic and sympathetic characters, who are the main focus of the show, and the feature that sets it apart from your everyday giant robot show. NGE is dark, but also sometimes very funny. Although the series ending is... uh... different... it is made up for by the movies that followed and presented the true ending.
Just a little warning, though: if you're just getting into anime, don't watch NGE for a while. It was one of the first ones I saw, and nothing I have seen since has lived up to it--it set my tastes too high.
But what am I saying? It's the greatest anime of the decade, for god's sake! Go out and get it RIGHT NOW!
