| All I can say is awesome,
awesome, awesome. This movie was incredibly good. I saw the English version
a long time ago but it is missing about an hour of the movie. One thing
to comment on is if your expecting this to be the manga on big screen your
wrong. They are 2 completely different stories. The reason for this is
that Hayao Miyazaki had to compress the epic manga series into about 2.5
hours. So a lot is missing but the movie is still phenomenal and adds a
whole new perspective to Nausicca. The manga is still far better than the
movie. And for the complete experience you need to have both. Well the
movie is about Nausicaa a princess from the valley of the wind. It’s very
hard to summarize the movie in any kinda small spoiler free way. Well I’ll
just have to give the basics then. Well Nausicca is outside the valley
and rescues and old friend Master Yupa, They return to the valley of the
wind. Then a Torumekian plan crashes in the valley. Everyone is killed
but the cargo is left behind. The cargo was a God Warrior one of the beings
that burned the old world to the ground in the seven days of fire. Then
the Torumekians move into the valley and it is caught in their fight against
that people of Pejeti and the insects of the wasteland. Anyhow the score
done by Joe Hisashi is incredible I loved it. It was prefect and matched
the movie completely. The story was absolutely amazing. The animation was
also incredible especially for it’s time. Overall a perfect movie a true
masterpiece ![]() |
