| Well now Macross Plus is
one of the greatest OVA’s of all time if not the best. The story
takes Place in 2040 on the planet Eden. The story focus’s around
one time friends Guld Goa Bowman and Isamu Dyson. Dyson is a hot head that
is assigned to New Edwards test base to join project Super Nova in which
the U.N Spacy will pick the New Variable fighter Either the YF-19 or
the YF-21. Dyson pilots the 19 and Guld the 21. Something happened in their
childhood that split them up. Anyhow another old friend Show's up Myung
Fung Low who is the producer of Sharon Apple a virtuoid singer. Well since
this is a review not a summary to make a long story short. Project Super
Nova is cancelled as the U.N SPacy decides to go with the Ghost X-9 fighter
and Sharon Apple gains complete artificial Intelligence and Takes over
the SDF-1 Macross (note the last episode of the Ova series takes place
on earth where the Macross is). Isamu raises to destroy the Ghost and Guld
races to stop him. So that’s the basic plot of the OVA series. The
animation quality is excellent I think that the animation is the best I
have seen better than the Nadesico movie even, even though it’s older.
The music is also great. I like techno but not as much as I like rock and
the music was a bit slow for my taste but it was still amazing especially
the song when Isamu descend
to Earth through the Defense network. The story is also one of the best Macross storyline ever. But it’s really a side story not a real epic like SDF Macross or Macross 7. It’s still great though if you have not seen it get it  |

This is by far my favorite
production of the Macross Universe. It has everything, a lot of money was
put into this produuction and you see it all on the screen, it was pulled
of magnificently. The animation is untouchable and the soundtracks are
to die for, Information High has played in my CD player on repeat I dont
know how many times ^__^ and my friends and I cant get enough of it. I
dont wanna tell much about the story cause it shows itself off much better
than any summary I could give, the four part OVA is the original incarnation
which was followed by a subtitled movie which is all of the OVA rolled
in one with some scenes taken out and some added. most notibally a better
ending for one of the main characters, I personally love both versions
so I suggest checking them both out! I dont have any gripes about this
one nothing but thumbs up if you havent seen it yet (you are deprived ^_-)
then go out and get it now!
