Wow what can I say this was one wicked show. I have to say first off its starts much stronger then it finishes. Kinda leaves some lose ends and goes a little far in left field towards the end but overall enjoyable (how can you not love that badboy main character you either love him or wanna be him! Lol) One interesting tidbit of debate over this anime is the spelling of the main characters name. Many refer to him as "Alucard" while others say "Arucard" Personally I like and believe in the Alucard one as if you spell it backwards its "Dracula" hinting that he is the mother of all vampires, and that’s just sooooo much wilder that I will refer to him as such. Alucard is your non-standard gun wielding vamp (and I mean BIG guns here peeps) The organization known as "Hellsing" works at night to get rid of all the baddies in the world. One of their ace in the holes is our above mentioned "hero" which you don’t know if you could really call him a hero or not. He definitely has his own agenda and you'll see throughout the series you wonder how the Hellsing organization keeps him under control (not gonna ruin it) Just when you think Alucard can't get any more powerful that boy yanks something else out of his bag, or has it released so to speak. Other characters include Victoria Seres whom has a large role as you'll see in the first ep and then on. But for me the real star is of course Alucard. But Victoria does usually have most of the screen time it seems. It’s a great show however I recommend any of the religiously sensitive to think about it first. There are many many religious references. Such as one of this guns having references to Jesus. Also this is the case for one of the people Alucard fights who has such things written on his hands. Also very bloody show if you didn't already guess ^_- so not for the squimish.
