| <I>"IT'S SO CUTE! BUT
WHAT THE HELL IS IT!" - Excel</I>
Plot: Pinky and the Brain
meets Kodomo no Omocha? In the relentless pursuit
of world domination, Ilpalazzo
orders his minions, Excel and Hyatt, to
engage in... apparently
pointless activities that have little or no bearing
on world domination! Excel's
perpetual sugar rush propels her through just
about any danger, from the
opposition of her neighbors to Ilpalazzo's
pursuit of Hyatt, as the
animators prove that no joke is too weird and no
convention sacred in their
pursuit of utter hilarity. (description taken

Review: I recently went to
my friends anime con and saw this show and fell
in love with it. It's the
funniest thing I've ever and what makes it so good
is that it parodies a bunch
of
anime shows and American movies, there are a
bunch of crazy things happenening
throughout the whole series and you can
tell it gets a lot weirder
by the first episode.
Music: I don't remember any
spectacular soundtrack while watching it,
besides I only saw the first
2 eps but the opening and ending songs are
great. The ending song is
hilarious with the dog singing.
Animation: What makes this
anime so funny is how the express themselves.
Excel is hyperactive and
watching her trying to please her master is so
funny. There's nothing breath
taking in the animation since it's just like
any other comedy. The backgrounds
aren't incredibly detailed but that's not
the point of the show.
Overall: Currently my third
favorite show behind Vandread and Kenshin OAV.
I've only seen the first
2 eps but I'll be getting the rest from my friend
making a grand total of
16 since that's all that's been translated so far
(26 altogher). If there's
any comedy that you want to see make sure to give
this one a try but take
it in small doses. If you watch any comedies in
batches of like 4-6 eps
at a time it's bound to get tedious.
Rating: 10/10 (my top
3 shows always rate 10//10)
+ : FUNNY, parodies many
animes and american films including Pokemon, Digi
Charat, Starwars, Aliens.
- : Watching them all in
a row might make the comedy wear thin, so don't
ruin it! |
